I don’t know all the details, but I have found evidence of Tom having been in USA or Canada in April 1914, April 1916, April 1919 and March 1931. I don’t know if this was an official emigration, nor whether they ever became Canadian or American citizens. In their youth he and two of his brothers, George and Andrew emigrated to Canada / USA.
